Welcome

Your place for spiritual inspiration, hope, and healthier living.

How would YOU answer these difficult questions?

Am I really enjoying the life I’m living?

Is my life story a good read, or does it need an uplifting revamp?

If I could, would I change the plot and outcome of my life story?

If the current recorded depression and loneliness rates are any indication, a large number of us agonize over whether or not we’ve achieved our true potentials, accomplished anything significant in life, or succeeded as much as everyone else. Many of us belief we’re on a trajectory to nowhere. Even the youngest among us. We despair too much, eat too much, compare ourselves to one another too much.

And we fantasize too much over the life we didn’t live, the path we didn’t take. We believe our what if’s would have made us better, more successful, more popular, more fulfilled. Happier. We make idols out of them and rob ourself of our present and future.

When my husband took this picture of me overlooking Hawaii’s Molokai Channel from Makapuu Point on Oahu— as the sun broke over the islands of Molokai, Lanai and Maui—I had just concluded an exhausting week of attacking some emotional demons that had been pummeling my heart for decades. I needed to go back home—to Hawaii—to wrestle with and subdue them.

I was also three weeks away from a decade-changing birthday and wondering what this new season of life would hold. I felt deep in my gut that change-was-a-coming. What I wasn’t convinced about was whether or not it would be good change. And wasn’t I getting too old to dream anyway?

But as the sun cracked open the horizon and burned through the haze, it lit up my soul as much as it warmed my body. Its rays spilled across the glistening water, like a glassy yellow, undulating road. Beckoning me to step out into my future. A future full of light, promise, hope and purpose. A future of possibilities. A future oozing with joy.

Are you at a crossroads in your life? Do you want to look forward to a future of light, promise, hope, and purpose. Of joy, in every area of your life?

If so, I invite you to join me on the journey to live life to its fullest—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. To pursue eternal life and happiness. To strive for the good health that will make the journey more enjoyable.

Let’s get started!

July 14, 2020

My contribution to this new CSS anthology, “Transforming Hami,” tells the heartwarming story of an abused, ragamuffin rescue dog I didn’t want that eventually wore down my defenses, wormed his way into my heart, and helped me reclaim my joy for life.

Writer S. Montgomery said of the story: “I love your story!  It’s so warm and leaves me remembering animals that I’ve had and how it felt.  Just one of those true life, feel good stories we all need now for sure.”

What is an “inspirational” writer? An inspirational writer is someone who writes about faith, which may be in the realm of mysterious events, life lessons, angelic encounters, or salvation stories (just to name a few). The writing can be either non-fiction or fiction genres. Not a sermon, but a well-told story or poem.

What’s your story?
